Make Fried Ice Cream: The Process

The first step in the process to make fried ice cream is to scoop about 8 half-cup sized balls from the vanilla ice cream container. Then, dip the ice cream in the egg whites. Be sure that the entire ice cream ball is covered by the egg white to protect the ice cream from melting entirely when fried. Next, dip the balls in the bowl of cornflakes and cinnamon, ensuring that the entire ball is covered. Place the covered balls on the wax paper, and leave them in the freezer for at least three hours in order to harden them. If you have time, it is recommended that you leave the balls in overnight, but if not, three hours should sufficient. Once they have hardened, heat the oil in the sauce pan to about 360 degrees and drop the balls into the oil for about 30 seconds. Take the fried ice cream out and then the last step is to enjoy!
